What this does

Load an SRT or VTT file and shift every cue by the same number of seconds. Negative values pull captions earlier, positive values push them later. Times never go below zero.

The first cues are shown before and after, so you can confirm the offset is right before you export. The file is parsed in your browser and never uploaded.

Use cases
  1. 01Fix captions that drift because an intro was added or trimmed after they were written.
  2. 02Realign a caption file to a re-export where the edit start moved.
  3. 03Nudge a subtitle track that reads a beat late on every line.
FAQ

Questions, answered.

Does it fix captions that drift progressively?

No. This applies one fixed offset to every cue. If the gap grows through the video, the frame rate is the cause, and a single shift will not fix it.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The file is read by your browser with the File API. Nothing reaches our server.

Which formats work?

SRT and VTT. Plain text has no timings to shift, so there is nothing for this tool to move.
